The Tyson Fury vs. Anthony Joshua fight is going to cost a fortune.
The proposed site fee to stage the fight in Saudi Arabia exceeds $150 million, according to ESPN's Mark Kriegel. It shatters the record for any site fee for a boxing event.
Fury and Joshua will each net $75 million, and the rest of the money will go to expenses, including to pay for undercard fights. However, nothing is final yet.
The two British heavyweights will fight to become the first unified heavyweight king since Lennox Lewis. It's slated to be one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing.
Joshua holds the WBA, IBF and WBO belts, while Fury has the WBC title after beating Deontay Wilder in February 2020.
