Indiana Fever Rookie Caitlin Clark’s Nike Deal Revealed, and It’s Insane
Indianapolis Star-USA TODAY NETW

After becoming the biggest name in college basketball recently, Caitlin Clark is set to conquer the WNBA in the coming weeks. To mark her ascension as one of the sport’s brightest stars, Nike inked the Indiana Fever star to an insane deal.

Clark first made her mark as the top prospect of her High School class in 2020. From there, various universities made their respective pitches to join their programs, with the guard initially committed to Notre Dame. But before doing so, Clark changed her mind and went to Iowa instead.

During her first year playing for the Iowa Hawkeyes during the 2020-21 season, Clark averaged 26.6 points on 40 percent shooting from beyond the arc, 5.9 rebounds, 7.1 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. She would later win the Big Ten Rookie of the Year award and be named to the Big Ten All-Freshman team in 2021.

In her last year, Clark rose to the top and broke Pete Maravich’s old record to become the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer. The Iowa Hawkeyes star also led her team to the championship round, only to fall to the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks. Shortly after, the Indiana Fever drafted Clark and is set to play her first game for the team in a couple of weeks.

Indiana Fever Star Caitlin Clark’s Insane Deal With Nike Revealed

Even during her time in college, Clark has been signed to various endorsement deals. At this stage of her career, though, the Indiana Fever star is about to go big with a new contract she inked for Nike. In a tweet posted on X by NBA Central:

Caitlin Clark is expected to earn $3.5 million per year from her deal with Nike

“The biggest name in women’s basketball is set to sign an eight-year deal worth up to $28 million with the biggest name in sportswear, according to people familiar with the situation,” NBA Central tweeted.

Apart from her deal with Nike, Clark is set to earn a total of $338,000 from the Fever over a period of four years. She also has an estimated NIL valuation of $3.5 million this year, which places her fourth behind Bronny James, Shedeur Sanders, and Livvy Dune.

With Clark and Nike partnering together, it looks like the Fever star is going to become more popular in the coming years. Add her looming debut against the Dallas Wings next months, and it won’t be long before the Indiana guard becomes the most well-known female baller out there.
